May to Early June of 2024
Hello!
It has been a very busy May for us. We had several tired moments, and maybe a bit of spiritual warfare to deal with too, but we depended on God and He gave us strength to endure! We met with several people about partnering with us, and the Lord led some of them to come alongside us! We also found out we will be getting financial support from our first church to agree to help on a monthly basis! We also received our first one time donations from two other churches, which we are thankful for as well! We spoke for the first time in front of a church congregation in May as well! We met with several wonderful people who expressed a desire to help with one time commitment costs or projects, and it is starting to look more promising now that June is here.
God moves at His timing. Bradley and I have been trying to tune in more to what God has in mind for us, rather than just our own ideas or plans. It has helped us to be able to see when God was moving, and remembering that God has His plans for us and waiting on them, have allowed us to see Him answering specific prayers we've prayed for in the past.
In two weeks I am turning 30! I am so excited to be honest, no matter how old I get I think I will always be happy about making it another year around the sun! More amazing to me though was how I realized that I didn't mind a bit giving up my birthday towards our missions! I got asked to join 3 other missionary ladies at my church to help co-host a ladies night out fundraiser. We hope to maybe get some one time donations, but also to potentially find some long term partners or references as well that night. I get to do what I love best, making dessert and helping other people have a good fellowship time.
We met with our future co-workers via zoom and met several more that are also going to be joining us out there over the next year at our missions school! We met the chaplain that is going to be joining our school to lead the spiritual end of our Christian missionary school! There are going to be two other part times, plus myself and Bradley joining in the next year and a half! This will mean that all of us teachers will be better able to divide up the classes and material to our strengths, whereas in the past it was just the two current teachers teaching every subject, K-12! The Lord is growing our ministry soon, and it will be very thrilling to get to be a part of this team, and to invest in the lives of the students God is bringing to our school.
Overall, it was a month of blessings and God's faithfulness, and we are looking forward to what else God has in store for us coming up.
Prayer requests : for our energy and motivation to stay up in the next couple months, that the fundraiser on the 13th goes well, and that we are able to take some part of the summer for relaxation as well. Additionally, if you can pray that our family will all be safe while traveling in June and that sicknesses will stay away that will be great, we have a lot scheduled this month with family or friends!
I'll end here with a prayer for all of us:
"Dear Lord,
Thank you for your never-ending love and faithfulness. Thank you for Lord for always knowing what we need, but wanting to have a relationship with each of us and that we can talk to you through prayer, but also just know that you always walk beside us even when we forget to pray.
I pray today for the things I listed above, but also for all the people who read here and who are on my prayer list warriors. I pray that you will help them with their needs and aspirations, that you will help give all of us endurance and peace this week as the summer is starting up for a lot of families this week. Help us to be productive and to also remember balance and rest are important too.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen."
May all the glory and honor be to God.
