Hello friends! Hola amigos! In case you didn't hear or read about it before this, our family went to Guatemala for the month of July! Although there were some bumps along this adventure (i.e. delayed and rescheduled flights, many earthquakes, and literal bumps in the road) it has been an overall joy of an experience being here in Antigua, Guatemala. We made new friends with both our co-workers and some locals nearby. Kaylee made friends with many of the students at our ministry school, and won over the hearts of many a Guatemalan who met her! Overall, the three of us adapted very well to living here, and we are very optimistic about how things will go long-term when we move here in the fall. We celebrated our 8th anniversary of marriage here on the first day of school! |

Encounter Update: -School restarted! Caitlin finished her curriculum creating for this quarter. -Caitlin and Bradley co-led the history class for the Pre-K through 6th graders. -Bradley worked many long hours on the school’s computers, laptops, and iPads, and gave tech support for student and staff laptops. He also was involved in the apologetics class and assisted students in the study and tutoring hours. -Caitlin worked each morning helping teach the youngest students their lessons and led games, and occasionally helped lead during the afternoons elective classes too. -Kaylee got to tag around with mom and dad in turns. |

Prayer Requests: - Praise God for this chance to come and help them start up the school year, and for Kaylee transitioning to Guatemala so well. - Pray for those in Guatemala who were more affected by the earthquakes, and that churches or the government will be able to help those in desperate conditions. - Pray that things go smoothly for our co-workers, and the students’ families while we are back in the states these couple months. - Thanks for our new Guatemalan friends’ who own a cafe down the street from the school. - Pray that we can raise the rest of our support quickly, so that we can move here and assist the school as soon as possible. |
